Being in high school can be stressful considering academic pressure, peer pressure, and the societal expectations surrounding your future. Sometimes endlessly working hard leads us to burn out and fall into a period of unmotivation where we feel that no matter what we do, we'll never feel successful or like we're doing enough. However, it's important to take a step back and realize that life is too short to worry about your every move; instead prioritize your happiness and live in the moment. Instead of worrying about what could possibly go wrong tomorrow, reflect on how far you've come and how you can make the most of today. Quit worrying about your neighbor's best accomplishment, your biggest insecurity, or whatever else is causing you to be anxious; go out there and be your own, true self, the best self you can be!

Recently, I’ve been extremely busy with school work for nearly all of my classes that caused me a lot of stress. Being forced to find time for my school work and extracurricular activities made it difficult for me to relax. However, I discovered that my anxiety only worked my ability to function, leading to more paranoia and fear. As a result, I focused on not concerning myself with what I couldn’t control, while also not worrying too much over something that could be fixed. Stressing over things was not something I enjoyed, so I attempted to eliminate the anxiety with either a distraction or productivity. Overall, I found myself performing better in my school work while also maintaining a positive mindset.

Environment on Mental Health
I think that when the people around me are tired and not doing the best, it affects me by making me feel tired as well. I feel more inclined to do nothing than be productive and I don't feel like my best self when I'm not productive.

Being in school causes me anxiety because of all the homework, tests, and lack of sleep, but being at home makes me happy. This goes to show how the environment you’re in affects your mental health.
I really like how you shared something that is so personal to you. People can feel lonely when facing anxiety, and it helps to know there is a community out there that is there to support them!
